Kansas City Entrepreneur and Business Leader Michael Emmons

Based in Kansas City, Missouri, Michael Emmons has enjoyed a long and successful career as an entrepreneur. He has effectively operated businesses across several industries, including an alarm company he grew from a small startup into one generating more than $70 million in annual sales. The company has ranked among the top 10 in national sales out of 350 dealerships multiple times over the last decade. Michael Emmons owned a large in-home water conditioning sales company in Kansas City and opened several multi-million-dollar gyms. His Ionics franchise in Kansas City led all other locations in North America in 1996, 1997, and 1998.

Michael Emmons served four years in the United States Army Reserve. He served as a non-commissioned officer in nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) warfare defense. His responsibilities mainly involved preparing the 234th Signal Battalion for NBC warfare. He received the Army Achievement Medal for his efforts in this role.

Mr. Emmons studied business at the University of Iowa. His business interests include sales management, account management, and recruiting, as well as entrepreneurial strategy.
